Acccomplishments:

Only 3rd year in existence as a team for AHS.
Finished 2nd in the Copley Invitational of 16 teams.
Finished 3rd in the ASA Girls Class “A” State tournament.
(OHSAA girl state softball tournament did not begin until 1978)

The 1977 team was only the third year of girls softball at Ashland High School and the first year of entirely fast pitch.
Outscored their opponents 296 runs to 83 runs
Scored 15.5 runs per game, held their opponents to 4.36 runs per game.
Placed Second in the Copley Invitational out of 16 teams
Finished Third in the ASA girls "A" State Tournament
(OHSAA State Softball tournament did not begin until 1978).
